DID YOU KNOW THAT SPANISH MOSS IS CAUSING CONCERN FOR OUR NATIVE BUSHLAND ON SYDNEY’S NORTH SHORE? The link below is to an excellent article on page 2 of North Sydney Bushcare Newsletter. It is a reminder of the growing concern around how readily Spanish Moss is spread by birds (not to mention unwitting gardeners) into our native bushland. Tillandsea usneoides is an epiphytic plant that appears to be spreading in Sydney and, in some instances, having a negative impact on host trees.
